Hubhopper Studio mobile app release/ Facebook rolls out Live Audio Rooms/ Apple Podcasts subscriptions available globally

Last week, we announced the release of the brand new Hubhopper Studio mobile app. We always want podcast creation to be an easy and accessible endeavor for all our creators. With this new addition to the Hubhopper products, creators can now record, edit, and distribute their podcast from anywhere, at any time with just their mobile phones.
A Podcast studio right in your pocket with your own recorder, editor, data analytics dashboard and more. The mobile app is currently available on the Google Play Store. We look forward to you creating podcasts with the Hubhopper Studio mobile app, additionally, we would love to hear your feedback as well. What’s New!
Facebook has rolled out the in-app social audio experience through Live audio rooms and podcasts for users in the US. New features will be introduced in the coming months. Facebook is also working with creators to develop and launch Soundbites - short-form, creative audio clips.
Apple podcast subscriptions and channels are now available worldwide. Through the subscription, listeners can hear new and original shows, get early access to new seasons of popular series and more. Check out this video for an overview of channels and subscriptions and how to set them up.
Spotify has acquired Podz, a podcast discovery platform that created the first audio newsfeed by creating 60-second podcast clips.
Amazon is acquiring ART19, a podcast hosting and monetization platform that will help it in hosting podcasters’ shows as well as third parties’ and sell ads against them.
Spotify has released the Spotify Greenhouse, an app similar to Clubhouse or Twitter Space. The app is available on iOS and Android.
Nielsen studies show that ‘light’ listeners - those who listen to a podcast one to three times a month - make up nearly half of the podcast audience.
Spotify has launched ‘Sound Up’, a global program created to identify underrepresented communities. In India, the platform will focus on women podcasters to bring more female talent to the thriving audio ecosystem.
